The Fraud Practice and CardinalCommerce Kickoff the 3rd Annual Consumer Authentication Survey

Take the survey today to be entered in up to 5 drawings to win a new Apple Watch Sport™. The earlier you take the survey the more chances you have to win as a new drawing will be held each week.

The Fraud Practice and CardinalCommerce are proud to announce that the 3rd Annual Consumer Authentication Survey is now underway. Continuing with the success and momentum of the first two installments, the latest survey and coming 2016 report will continue to track the changing perceptions and trends around Consumer Authentication programs, how they are most successfully implemented and their impacts on chargebacks, risk management and the customer experience.

We are calling on merchants, issuers, acquirers as well as payment and fraud solution providers to collect your feedback and opinions regarding Consumer Authentication programs like Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode, and your input is valued whether your organization currently uses or supports these programs or not.

This year’s Consumer Authentication Survey may be the most important one yet. Leading up to and continuing after the October 1st EMV deadline, the payment landscape in the U.S. is undergoing significant change. While the brick-and-mortar channel is directly impacted with hardware upgrade requirements and changing fraud liability rules, the CNP channel is bracing for an even further increase in card absent fraud attacks driven by the improved security at the point-of-sale. Organizations have known this day was coming, and the third installment of this longitudinal study will shed light on what changes or preparations organizations have made or are planning regarding authentication, chargebacks and risk management.

The first year of the survey set the baseline while the 2015 Consumer Authentication Survey Report highlighted key trends and changes in how organizations perceive and implement Consumer Authentication programs. While survey findings showed increase sophistication in how organizations leverage Consumer Authentication and key features like Selective Presentment over just one year, the 2016 Consumer Authentication Survey and Report will identify which trends are continuing, changing or are just now emerging.

Please be sure to take the Consumer Authentication Survey this week. All who complete the survey will be entered in up to five drawings to win a brand new Apple Watch Sport™, and will additionally receive an advance copy of the Consumer Authentication Survey Report.

The survey will remain open for five weeks with a drawing occurring at the end of each. You only need to take the survey once and your entry will be entered in that week’s raffle and all subsequent prize drawings (unless selected as the winner). Be sure to take the survey by this weekend to be included in all 5 prize drawings.
